Disable dislike
I have 2 channels. In one the feature "dislike" is enabled and in the other it is disabled.
I would like to disable thefeature in both channels, but I can not find the setting.

Can one of you tell me where it is (as user, not as admin)?

How does a user get to this setting without knowing the link/url?
Is it just me, that I do not find any menu, where I can get to this link?!?

@Aksel Kies Linc @Hz From the "hamburger menu" click Features. If you don't see Features there, click on Add Apps, find Features, and click the star to add it to the menu.

@Michael Thanks for your answer, but I am now more confused than before.

There is no app called "Feature" or "Extra Feature". I can not even find it in the addon list as admin.
Can't even find the app in the addon list on framagit!

I found in the help:

Extra Features

The default interface of Hubzilla was designed to be uncluttered. There are a huge number of extra features (some of which are extremely useful) which you can turn on and get the most of the application. These are found under the Extra Features link of your Settings page.

So it should be there by default under my settings page?!?

@Aksel Kies Linc @Hz basically we try to keep them where they belong to. Mostly the cogwheel beside the appname in the top panel for specific app settings. Editor settings - the cogwheel in the editor window. Conversation settings in the conversation item dropdown. General settings are in the profile image dropdown in the top panel > settings.

A general page for all settings proved to be overwhelming for most people...

@Mario Vavti I don't see through the logic behind the division, but that's maybe just my brain. ;-)
As a suggestion (if doable): Both: the settings where they are now plus an overall view where one (user) can find all the settings in one place.

At your computer you set the preferences for writer in writer. The preferences for gimp you set in gimp. And some general settings you set at the os or dm level. Having all those settings at one place would be a complete mess. Same applies for Hubzilla.

But as I am not able to change it( because I am not a developer), I have to take it as it is! :-)

Do not look at Hubzilla as a set of pages. Look at Hubzilla being the OS where you can install apps. For every app with settings there are settings - stream, calendar, cart etc. The general settings (lets say os-level) are in the the avatar drop down in the top panel > settings.

There are two special cases: editor and conversation.

Hubzilla at some point had all settings in one place - didn't work...

You could do both.
Keep the current setting, and add a global page with all links to sub-settings.
It's what many applications already do.

Because people are running away screaming when seeing it. You can create a custom app though :wink:
