Good morning! What about the old hubzillians from the foundational times? Are you going to let this wonderful platform die day by day in the silence? :coffee :coffee

I poke my head in when I can. Hopefully, after these last couple of work projects are done, it will be more often than once every couple of weeks. I miss you all!

Hmm... I was half joking - but you might be right, a lot of the old regulars are gone. I myself considered shutting down my instance a couple of times, but then decided to hold on to it. It's a bit sad that even the Fediverse feels like a bunch of walled gardens - admittedly with some doors in between.

Well, some of the old regulars are exused on account of transforming into Norwegian Blues on Plutonian Shores, i.e. they are dead.
Decentralized publishing require each hubmin of the fediverse take some personal responsibility for the well being of their own hub's community, or enganging with the community of other hubs if you have a hub for yourself.
Each member has every day the opportunity to engage with others from their own channel. However, if you do not write yourself, I do not think you will enjoy the grid of interconnected community hubs very much, because nobody is here for your entertainment, we are here to play together, so get off the bench and come out and play. :-)

My reason for almost leaving isn't that I don't like Hubzilla anymore. It's mainly that I run too many different things and I don't really have the time to look after them properly. Hubzilla is the one application I failed to migrate to postgres when I decided running one DB server is enough. So I stilll keep this Maria DB around for Hubzilla hoping I eventually find the time to actually migrate...
