Maybe not a popular opinion, but hey ho. I am bored and irritated, nay angered by exceptionalism. I don't care if it's USofAmerican, British or European. I am reading so much at the moment by folks who get their view of the world through a (probably plastic) straw. The inability to see the world in anything more than binary terms is a character flaw.
